Frequent questions
Why is the integrated fight control so effective against the mould?

Because mould is a fungus which reproduces itself very quickly and its spreading very often is not visible. In addition, it is able to penetrate the microporosities of the paint layer. The chemical anti-moulds cannot reach the roots in depth and, even if they were active, to eradicate it, it would be necessary to cover the house with toxic chemicals, since it is present with its spores on all surfaces ( walls, floor joints, shelves, etc.).

Using the integrated control system means using active substances antagonistic to mould, odourless, non-toxic, and able to reach into the microporosities and purify the wall.

HOW DOES THE ATUM SYSTEM WORK?

Antago, the first of the products that make up the Atum system, is composed mainly by fungi antagonistic to mould, the yeasts that we managed to stabilise by inhibiting the reproduction, which, in contact with the spores, deactivate them. Once cleaned, thanks to Dedalo – the second product you will use – you will be able to free deeply from mould all the surfaces, both from spores and roots. Dedalo also deposits itself creating a kind of invisible protective mat which it activates itself in case of new formations. If the conditions allow it, then a specific functional product is applied to protect long.-term those areas of the wall that are vulnerable to mould.

The phone call you will receive from our expert (we ask you 10-15 minutes of your time), after sending us the preliminary analysis questionnaire, allows you to understand precisely what you need.

You will also receive information regarding microclimatic and humidity aspects of your home, which, if not considered, do not help us to understand which imbalance creates the ideal conditions for the growth of mould

ARE KIT ATUM PRODUCTS SAFE?

Our products are safe, biodegradable, and have no undesirable effects in contact with the skin and mucous membranes.

They are certified by external third parties independent from Atum and by our laboratories. They comply with the current European regulations, are odourless, they are not a risk for the environment and guests, especially if at home there are children or newly born, or people with health problems or elderly. The animals are protected too.

DO I HAVE TO AIR AFTER TREATMENT?

None of the products release dangerous volatile substances, they are odourless, so it not necessary to let to air the environment.

However it is a good habit to allow a good air exchange inside the rooms, so as to remove the moisture present, beyond the treatment with Atum.

DO I NEED A PROFESSIONAL FOR THE TREATMENT?

No, you do not. The products are easy to use and for anyone, even those who consider themselves little o not at all keen to the do-it-yourself kind of thing.

AFTER THE SANITIZATION WWITH ATUM PRODUCTS, CAN I PAINT AGAIN?

Certainly, you can.

Since you are dealing with walls that have been affected by mould, it is important that you have some precautions.

If thermal bridges and excessive internal relative humidity have been detected, the walls must be protected with a special functional product.

Do not rely on simple painting, although it is professional. The expert, who will contact you after you have sent the questionnaire, will provide you with all the necessary information.

IS THERE A BETTER PERIOD OF TIME TO DO THE ATUM ANTI-MOULD TREATMENT?

Any moment it is good to do the Atum anti-mould treatment.

You can do it in spring as well as in winter, during a beautiful sunny day or during a thunderstorm. You are asked to scrupulously follow the instructions which will be given to you by the expert with whom you will talk to and the instructions on the guide manual you will find inside the kit Atum that you will receive at home.

Atum captures and eliminates the moulds, therefore the wall will be freed from infestation and then protected against new growth.
